Terms of Service

ClipEngine (“ClipEngine”, “we”, “us”) is a desktop application and related online service that transcribes video and audio, suggests short-form clip segments, generates hooks and renders clips on your computer. The service is operated by Volodymyr Lotsmanov, an individual based in Ukraine.

By creating an account or using ClipEngine you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or of legal age in your country) and provide accurate information. Keep your credentials secure: you are responsible for activity on your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or resold.

The Free Trial is intended for one person. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free minutes is not permitted.

• Free Trial: 15 minutes, one-time, 720p export with a watermark.
• Pro: 150 minutes per billing month, 1080p/4K export, no watermark.
• Power: 600 minutes per billing month, 1080p/4K export, priority render.
• Top-Up: a one-time pack of 60 additional minutes. Top-Up minutes are used only after your plan’s own minutes run out and are not reset each month.

Minutes are counted in whole minutes of the audio or video you transcribe, rounded up. Unused monthly plan minutes do not roll over. Current prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases.

Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and collects applicable taxes. Paddle’s checkout terms apply to your purchase in addition to these Terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, after which your account returns to the Free plan and the monthly minutes end. Top-Up minutes you have purchased remain on your account.

You can upgrade from Pro to Power inside the app; the upgrade is charged pro rata immediately. Other plan changes can be requested from support. Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.

You keep all rights to the videos, audio, scripts and other content you process, and to the clips you create. You grant us a limited licence to process your content only as needed to provide the service, including sending audio and text to the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the rights needed to process the content you submit.

You agree not to:

• use ClipEngine to process content that is illegal or that infringes the rights of others;
• circumvent usage limits, the free-trial limit, watermarks or other restrictions;
• reverse engineer, tamper with, or attempt to extract keys or source code from the app or our servers, except where the law expressly allows it;
• access the service by automated means other than through the app, or place an unreasonable load on it;
• resell or sublicense the service.

Transcripts, hooks, clip suggestions and scores are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing them before you publish anything. We do not guarantee any particular views, engagement or results.

The app can check for signed updates and install them with your confirmation. The service may be unavailable from time to time because of maintenance or outages at third-party providers. We may change or discontinue features.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, abuse the service, or create a security or legal risk. You can stop using ClipEngine at any time and ask us to delete your account by contacting support@tryclipengine.com.

To the extent permitted by law, ClipEngine is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use ClipEngine after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
